Cute kids are easy to photograph

I went to the Children's Health and Safety Fair at McHenry Community College. They had one of those fake houses where they do fire drills to teach kids about proper fire safety. I have always wanted to photograph in one of those and finally worked up the courage to get in one (the first time since I was a youngster).

I feel like was the most productive children's event I have ever photographed. I have always been disappointed by the photographs I take at these types of events, so I really challenged myself to take different photos. I liked these the best. I still have some work to do though.

And this is what ran:

Jessie Marzec, 8, and her sister Alex, 7, of Crystal Lake demonstrate their tooth brushing skills at the Dental Hygienists booth at the Children's Health and Safety Fair at McHenry Community College on Wednesday. Children won prizes for demonstrating their knowledge of health and safety related topics.
